Ettington Chase, Stratford-upon-Avon
Like so many of the Principal Hayleys hotels, the Ettington Chase is to be found amid an area of landscaped grounds and parkland. It is located in the town of Ettington near to the famous birthplace of Shakespeare – Stratford – and so there is much to see and do within close proximity to the venue. Further, access to this traditional building with its 11 acres of grounds is made easy thanks to its position within reach of the M40. Also like many of the group’s other venues, the Ettington Chase features flexible and well-equipped meeting and event facilities which are suitable for all sorts of activities and for groups of up to 200.
Sedgebrook Hall, Northampton
The Sedgebrook Hall is another of the Principal Hayley group’s countryside hotels and is based around a historic building. The first thing you will notice is the impressive Victorian house, while digging around a little further guests will be able to explore the 13 acres of landscaped grounds and the venue’s other less traditional buildings. It is well-placed a short distance from the neighbouring motorways near the market town of Northampton and so access is reasonably straight forward. The hotel is ideal for all sorts of meetings and events; there are no fewer than 23 facilities which can be used for activities of up to 200 delegates or guests.
The Palace Hotel, Manchester
The Palace Hotel is a grade II listed building dating back to the late 19th century, and one of the most distinctive buildings in Manchester. This is partly due to its terracotta façade and partly due to its enormous clock tower. Located in the heart of Manchester, the Palace Hotel is next to Oxford Street Station and within walking distance of all of the city’s prime attractions, including the theatre district. The hotel has recently undergone a modern restyling that is most attractively demonstrated in the hotel’s massive theatre, which has the ability to seat up to 1000 delegates.
Alexandra House, Swindon
A relatively young hotel, Alexandra House opened its doors in 2005. The hotel is situated just outside Swindon in Wroughton Village. Consequently the hotel and grounds have a relaxed ambience. Alexandra House is a great location for a function or event, with ample conference facilities and the ability to hold a memorable team-building day. There are 154 guest rooms with all the creature comforts expected of a four-star hotel as well as additions to make a business stay more comfortable, including work space and WiFi access and in Executive rooms, Xbox and DVD players.
Wotton House, Dorking
Like many Principal Hayley hotels, Wotton House is an attractive historic county house estate. In this case the hotel is located in the picturesque county of Surrey, just outside the traditional market towns of Dorking and Guildford. The main building has been extended and now carries 111 well appointed bedrooms. A relaxing spot for a weekend away, Wotton is also home to The Club, a bespoke fitness centre comprising of a gym, aerobics studio, whirlpool, sauna and steam facilities and a heating indoor swimming pool. The atmospheric driveway up to the main entrance and the period nature of the building makes Wotton House a beautiful backdrop for wedding celebrations.
